FIA is hosting a Women in Forging Lunch & Learn to help women in our industry connect, network, build relationships, empower each other, and learn from one another. This Lunch & Learn will take place at the International Women's Air & Space Museum located in Cleveland, OH.

Women in WWII Aviation:
During World War II, 1,102 American women flew as part of the Women's Airforce Service Pilots. Women played important, and oftentimes understated roles during the Second World War. In this program, attendees will enhance their understanding of the vital roles women played during the global conflict. From manufacturing to nursing, to research and other facets of aviation, this program will shine a light on not only American women's experiences during the war and aviation, but international connections.

*Everyone is welcome to tour the museum on their own.

Non-Member:  $150 

Men are encouraged to attend the event as well, to network and learn how they can continue to be advocates and allies in supporting women in the forging industry. Proceeds raised from registration fees for this event will go to support the Forging Industry Women's Scholarship. The Women in Forging Lunch & Learn will take place prior to the FIA Safety Conference.

About the speaker:
Ann Over is retired from NASA Glenn Research Center where she was Deputy Manager of European Space Agency Service Module for the Orion Project. She managed a group of high grade project manager to achieve human spaceflight objectives to return humans to the vicinity of the Moon and Mars. During her overs 36 year career as an aerospace engineer at NGRC, she explored challenges that included propulsion,, power, structures, thermal, cost, schedule and risk management. Ann previously managed Space Science content at Glenn including advanced technologies for Planetary Science and suborbital missions for Earth and Planetary Science. She is currently the president of AR NexGen, LLC.

Cancellations will be permitted until April 29, 2024, and will be refunded in full. After April 29, 2024, no refunds will be given, but substitutions are allowed if submitted to the FIA in writing.

No registration is final until accepted by FIA. FIA reserves the right to refuse registration/attendance to any person. Any registration that is not accepted by the FIA will be refunded in full.
