Save the Date! Heating Technology for Forging Workshop

Join FIA for the FIA Heating Technology for Forging Workshop, a two-day workshop covering both induction and combustion heating. Designed for forging professionals involved in engineering, maintenance and production, this workshop will explore the fundamentals and practical applications of both heating technologies.

 

 

Day one, held at FIA Headquarters in Independence, Ohio, will focus on induction heating, including power supplies, material handling, coil design and repair, electrical controls, cooling systems, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Sessions will also address energy efficiency and the role of induction heating in microstructure evolution. 

Day two, hosted at Fives North American Combustion in Cleveland, will examine gas heating, beginning with how to choose between induction and gas for forging applications.
