Building Tomorrow's Workforce: Apprenticeships to Attract and Retain Talent in Forging

Forging is critical to our country's national infrastructure and security, providing vital components used in the automobile, aerospace, medical, and other industries. The challenge? Not enough well-trained workers to fill essential roles.

Building Tomorrow's Workforce: Apprenticeships to Attract and Retain Talent in Forging
October 23, 2025 • VIRTUAL
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (ET)

Fundamentals:
Join FIA and Jobs for the Future (JFF) - a nationally recognized apprenticeship/work-based learning expert - to learn how apprenticeship and other work-based learning programs can help forging companies improve their recruitment, training, and retention practices and create a new generation of skilled workers.

This webinar will cover the key components and benefits of apprenticeship/work-based learning and how JFF, as part of the METAL initiative, offers no-cost technical assistance and easy-to-access funding to forging companies in the creation and expansion of these programs at their plants. Attendees will also hear how forging companies from across the country have already implemented a customized apprenticeship program to meet their evolving operational workforce needs.

METAL is led by IACMI-The Composites Institute with funding from the Department of Defense's Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program

*Once registered, prior to the webinar you will receive an email with a link to join the meeting.
