Webinar: Forging Screw Press 101

Join us virtually for this technical webinar on September 25th at 11:00 a.m. (ET). The mechanical mechanism that drives a screw press has been around for centuries. Screw presses were used to compress books and squeeze grapes long before the technology was put into service for forming metal parts. A screw press is very simple in its design and flexible in its use, consequently it has been widely adopted through-out the world for metals forging work.

 

Historically, with no domestic manufacturers of screw presses in North America, This forging technology was not as common in the US as it was in Europe and Asia. This webinar will cover some of the history of the screw press and then bring you up to date on the new technologies that have been applied to this equipment. With direct drive and PLC controls, today's screw presses provide an extremely productive, accurate and efficient way to forge metal components. Screw presses are well suited for automation and offer state of the art forging cells that are leaders in world forging markets especially when compare to other forging equipment.

From this webinar you will be able to compare the legacy equipment you may be currently running in your forging operations with the latest screw press technology. From this you will be able to see where you can apply screw press technology and what the payback is when you look to update your forging operations.
