         A four-day course dealing with the interaction of forging principles and design practices.

         A four-day course on tool design practices for presses with emphasis on quick tool change
           and press operation.

This two-day school introduces participants to the different types of mechanical eccentric and crankshaft presses. It will provide  an explanation of the various elements of the press to provide an understanding of how they work and their influence on other parts of the press and forging process.

Best Practices for Workplace Safety Workshop

          Safety professionals from FIA Member forge shops will share their best safety practices with
          you in this one-day workshop.

Distance Education

Free to FIA members, the Forging University, a web-based, interactive, online training center offers over 100 training courses, 24/7, to any member company employee from any Internet connected computer, anywhere in the world. Forging-specific courses include: Fundamentals of Forging 101, Metallurgy, Induction Heating, Die Lubrication, Heat Treatment, Safety Orientation and Hammer and Press Safety. Courses on topics of OSHA compliance, supervision, sales, customer service and more are also available.

Forge Fair

FIA’s triennial conference and exhibition dedicate to the metal forging process features the products and services of the world’s leading industry suppl Forging company executives from over 15 countri normally attend. Attendees include over 2/3 of all North American forging companies.

Forging Industry Technical Conference

The 29th offering of the Industry Technical Conference is scheduled to be held September 10-12, 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio. This conference reports out industry collaborative and university based technical research to senior management, plant managers and engineers and all persons interested in technical advances.

Marketing Workshop

Normally held in September, this workshop is geared toward the senior level sales and marketing executives of forging and supplier companies.

The purpose is three-fold: to review and forecast common end use forging markets; to motivate; and to refresh sales and marketing skills.
