FIERF Technology & Workforce Development Summit at Penn State University

Last month, the FIERF Technology & Workforce Development Summit at Penn State University brought together nine FIA member companies to meet with FIERF Magnet School Professor Amy Robinson, Materials Science and Engineering Department Head Susan Sinnott and several of their colleagues.  Many of the participants were Penn State University alumni, and they were impressed with the new labs and facilities toured during the meeting.

Industry representative Doug Brown from Inductoheat presented an overview of the forging industry to 13 students who also joined the meeting for networking and resume sharing as they look towards graduation and summer internship opportunities.
