FIERF Tech & Workforce Development Summit Coming to Marquette University

FIA members are invited to participate in the Forging Industry Educational & Research Foundation's (FIERF) Tech & Workforce Development Summit at Marquette University on Thursday, March 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Meet FIERF Magnet School Mechanical Engineering Professor Joe Domblesky, his faculty and students.

• Get insider tips on co-op, internship and new hire opportunities.

• Hear students report on FIERF sponsored research that includes Smart Robotic Press Tenders and Die Surface Friction.

• Develop industry-academic partnerships that have the potential to address issues at your plant.

• Tour the engineering workspaces and lab facilities - this will include areas where forging-related work is being done and features a student-built hydraulic press and other experimental and testing capabilities that were developed in part with FIERF and FIA member assistance. 

There is no cost for FIA members to attend the Summit, but pre-registration is required.
