2020 FIA Annual Meeting

Event Date: Friday, May 1, 2020 to Sunday, May 3, 2020

2020 Annual Meeting of Members Cancelled

Due to the worldwide outbreak of the potentially deadly SARS-CoV-2 virus (“coronavirus”), the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting of Members scheduled for May 1-3 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Naples, Florida.

The World Health Organization, on March 11, 2020, declared the coronavirus outbreak a worldwide “pandemic.”  Forty-nine states, including Florida, have declared the coronavirus outbreak to be a public health emergency.  On March 13, 2020, the President of the United States declared the coronavirus outbreak a “national emergency.”  This outbreak, and its associated emergency circumstances, was the basis for the cancellation of the 2020 Annual Meeting.

Members Who Have Registered For 2020 Annual Meeting

FIA has incurred costs associated with planning and organizing the 2020 Annual Meeting of Members and may incur substantial economic losses by canceling this meeting. However, members who have registered and paid to attend the 2020 Annual Meeting will be reimbursed 100% of their registration fees (and spouses, if applicable).

Our three countries, industry and families are going through difficult and uncertain times. We take the health and well-being of our members and their families seriously. As forgers and suppliers, we will prevail because we are strong and resilient, just like the forgings we produce in North America.
