This event will provide a great opportunity for you to network and get an update on what’s happening in the industry, while also enjoying lunch and touring the AMADA showroom. FIA Forging PAC Wine & Bourbon Pull: FIA will be hosting a wine and bourbon pull fundraiser to raise money for the Forging PAC. Bottles will be $100/each with a chance to randomly select a bottle valued at over $200. Donations will be taken in check or credit card.

Economic Update: Early Analysis of the Year
Dr. Christopher (Chris) Kuehl is the author of Quick Read Economic Update and a frequent speaker at industry events. Chris is the managing director of Armada Corporate Intelligence and one of the co-founders of the company. He has been Armada's economic analyst and has worked with a wide variety of private clients and professional associations in the last 18 years. He is the chief economist for the National Association for Credit Management (NACM). He prepares NACM's monthly Credit Managers Index.
Chris makes approximately 100 presentations each year to business and industry associations in the U.S. and overseas, and is available to speak at FIA member company events for a reduced rate. He has a doctorate in Political Economics, advanced degrees in Soviet Studies and Asian Studies and was a professor of international economics and finance for over 15 years prior to starting Armada. The FIA is excited to welcome back W.L. Bud Kinney to instruct our Fundamentals of Forging 101 Workshop following the FIA Midwest Meeting of Members. This workshop will teach the fundamentals of the forging process in language that attendees can understand, regardless of their experience level. As technology advances, it is becoming more important for buyers and forging professionals to understand the science behind the forging process and how it compares to other processes such as casting, weldments, or machining from bar. The workshop will also cover how forgings are made, and how quality is added through each step of the forging process. Click here to view the course schedule.

About the Instructor:
Bud has a bachelor’s degree in marketing, development, and strategic planning. He also a Mechanical Engineering BME. He works with the Engineering – Mechanical Advisory Committee at Cleveland State University where he was previously the Chair.
