FIA will host its first-ever Michigan Lobby Day on September 19-20, 2023, to meet with the Michigan State Legislature to educate lawmakers and address issues facing the forging industry. We are excited to bring our advocacy efforts to the state level.

Why Attend:
     •   Critical to meet elected lawmakers to establish lines of communication and relationships
     •   We need your assistance making unfair trade and labor shortages visible to partner with lawmakers to create solutions and further awareness at the National level
     •   Every single member's voice matters! Lobby Day is critical for establishing contact with lawmakers to get them to visit our plants and get more invested in our success and survival

In partnership with MGS Consultants, a leading lobbying firm, we will be organizing meetings with key members of the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate. This partnership allows both FIA members and FIA to expand their reach in Michigan immensely.

                                    (The meetings are scheduled according to plant location/company presence and detailed schedules with bios of the members of Legislature for each meeting is distributed prior to meetings)
