FIERF Golf Outing 2023

Join your forging industry colleagues on the golf course for the Annual FIA Forging Foundation (FIERF) Golf Outing. The FIA Forging Foundation funds industry-relevant research to advance the science of forging and engages students through curriculum, experiential learning, and scholarships to pursue careers in the forging supply chain.
100% of your golf registration fee will be donated to FIA's Forging Foundation (FIERF) to fund student scholarships and educational research projects.
The outing will take place at Firestone Country Club South Course located in Akron, Ohio - 40 minutes south of downtown Cleveland. Firestone Country Club carries the presence of incredible golf history. From the first tournament hosted there in 1954 to the PGA and SPGA's long relationship with the club, notable champions like Tommy Bolt, Arnold Palmer and Tom Nieporte all staked their claim to fame on the Firestone's famous courses, bunkers and fairways. These spectacular golf courses are sure to draw you into their historic mystique as you wind your way around the beautifully arranged holes. Noted for its length, the par 70, 7,783-yard South Course includes a series of intimidating, long par-4 holes and one of the longest par-5s anywhere.

Closest to the Pin: Hole 7
Attire (Golf Courses and Practice Areas):
• All shirts must be tucked in
• Golf-appropriate shorts are permitted
• Cargo shorts/pants are not permitted
• Mock tees that are golf appropriate will be permitted, please no t-shirts
• Jeans are not permitted
• Athletic attire, that is not golf appropriate, is not permitted (i.e. sweatpants)
• Baseball/golf-style hats may not be worn backwards.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations will be permitted until August 8, 2023 and will be refunded in full. After August 8, 2023 no refunds will be given, but substitutions are permitted if submitted to the FIA in writing.
Please Note:
No registration is final until accepted by FIA. FIA reserves the right to refuse registration/attendance to any person. Any registration that is not accepted by the FIA will be refunded in full.
