Join your forging industry peers for the 2023 FIA Safety Conference March 22-23, 2023 at AMADA America, Inc – Schaumburg Solution Center. Hosted by the FIA Safety Committee, FIA Safety Conference will provide attendees with valuable educational programming and networking opportunities, including a plant tour at Elgin Sweeper Co.
The program agenda includes topics such as:
- Humanizing Safety: A Roadmap for Organizational Safety through Individual Empowerment
- Why We Don’t See the Things That Hurt Us (AAM Application/Case Study)

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION:
Patrick Nelson, Loyalty Point Leadership
Patrick’s work is motivated by his personal mission to inspire others and influence the future. It’s a mission born out of his experience as a paratrooper in the US Army, where he led soldiers during three combat deployments and earned a Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart.
During one of his deployments, his failure as a leader led to one of his soldiers being killed in combat, while he was only peppered in the back from shrapnel. This life-changing experience set him on a path to help others not repeat his same mistake.
Transitioning from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan to working in the NFL, Patrick soon realized that if he wanted to help leaders, he needed to equip myself.
Patrick became the inaugural NFL-Pat Tillman Military Scholar and earned a Master’s in Sport Management and after transitioning to a role as a leadership development consultant, earned a second Master’s in Organization Development.
Since then, he’s facilitated leadership development programs for clients from Fortune 500 companies to small business owners in a variety of industries with the goal of helping them develop exceptional leaders.
